length 4 1/16 inches, excellent condition, no monogram. Seldom do we feel the urge to crow about so small an item, but this one is an exception. Cast in five separate pieces, it is well modeled and flawlessly seamed. The gilt bowl is stippled to simulate the texture of an orange. One shudders to think what it would cost to produce such an item now, if indeed an artist could be found who might do the job...

New Brunswick, a bit of tip and light overall surface wear, length just shy of 5 1/2 inches, monogrammed "AB" in period script with flourishes. It is interesting to note that three are marked J*C, and one "J.W. Cortelyou" (see second photo).

Yes, dear reader, that is a hint of loss to the left outer tine and there's also a bit of table wear to the pattern as shown in photo three, but the piercing above the tines is unusual and on the whole this piece presents itself well.
