Front-rib tablespoon with slashed drop, feathered script mono D H L on reverse; 7-3/4" long, excellent condition. Given the script mono, we have dated this piece at 1790, rather than an earlier period when Hanoverians were in style. It is probable that Sunshing was commissioned to make a complete set of front-rib spoons with the engraving in the style of the '90s. This is a very rare Shiebler sterling silver serving spoon that dates from 1870-1915. It is in mint condition! No monos. Lots of brilliant cut-work and hand-stippling in the bowl of the spoon. The pattern is called Corinthian. Total length is 9". The bowl alone is 3 1/2" long!

in rectangle. Is this Joseph Carman? John Chalmers? Joseph Carpenter? Am I failing to Inspire Confidence? Truly, as with many initial marks, the answer may never be known. Length 5 7/8 inches, monogrammed "M" in period script, the bowls are a bit chewed up (see fourth photo) and there is some tip wear-- priced accordingly.

This is a very rare pattern by Durgin dating from 1896. It is called "Marechal Niel". This item is a cocktail fork in excellent condition. The pattern has roses all along the edges crawling up into the fork part! It has a monogram letter K with a vertical line through the letter.
