The sterling fork blade is engraved with scrollwork, while the sterling knife blade is engraved with a dragon and a dolphin. Made by Thomas Smily, London 1872. Knife is 12.75" long, fork 10.5".

Alvin began their business in 1886 and later was purchased by Gorham in 1928.
