A small sterling meat platter, of fairly plain form but with a few accents that indicate the work of the grand master, Paul Storr. Oval in form with a reeded border highlighted with shell motifs. Fully hallmarked, including his maker' mark and the date letter, B, for the period July 1797 to May 1798. Up to 1973 the Date Letter was changed each year on the 19th May (later 28th May), which was St. Dunstan's day. He is the patron saint of English silversmiths.

A wonderful Irish sterling tea service of elegant form and extensive floral decoration. On each of the 4 corners the repousse shrubs 'sprout' an applied cast flower. Magnificent and imaginative workmanship in a good gauge of silver, look at the weight. There are only 4 pieces as English and Irish tea services usually do not bother with a waste bowl.
Made by Richard Sawyer Jr., of Dublin in 1846. Fully hallmarked on the base with an inscribed name "John Marshall".

This is just a phenomenal sterling-mounted desk set, comprising a large inkwell and a paper-weight. They are both made by Edgar Finley & Hugh Taylor of London in 1900, and fully hallmarked accordingly.
The inkwell consists of a stag-mounted, foliage-covered sterling lid on a heavy lobed crystal body, of square form.Inside the inkwell there is the original sterling-mounted glass inkpot, also hallmarked. The inkwell sits inside a heavy dark-wood base.

This sterling silver dish is an example of International's Wedgwood interpreted in holloware. It is a 6" diameter, 3.8 T. oz. dish. The width from handle to handle is 8". The interior has a block or coffered pattern to it, and an Old English "B" monogram. This is an old example, circa 1924, marked "Patent Pending" on the underside. Sterling silver sugar bowl with lid and creamer by Schofield Co. of Baltimore, MD. In the Neo-Classic style. Sugar Bowl is about 7 and 1/8 inches high to top of the finial and 6 and 3/4 inches wide from handle to handle. Creamer is about 6 1/4 inches to top of handle. Providence, Rhode Island's Knowles produced a number of well-received flatware patterns. While a broad representation of these items is available in the marketplace, hollow ware examples such as this circa 1875, sterling silver 6" diameter, 1 1/2" tall, 6.5 T. oz., footed card tray are scarce.
