This bell, made by Dominick & Haff, whose emblem, along with the word "Sterling" and the model number "42," measures 4" high and has a bottom diameter of 2". It is very heavy, weighing 2.7 T. oz. The surface is hammered, which could suggest an Arts & Crafts influence, but is more likely an expression of the Aesthetic Movement, c. 1880. A perfume or cologne bottle, this is number 98 made by Wallace according to the marks on the sterling silver stopper. The piece stands 5 3/4" overall and sits on a 2 1/4" base. The finely cut glass body is tapered and has a frosted surface on the inner surface where the stopper fits. The stopper has a 3 3/4" long dabber that extends to the very bottom of the interior of the bottle itself. Pair Matching Gorham Sterling 19th c. Napkin Rings

These two napkin rings are fully matching. Both are sterling silver, model number B3835 made by Gorham and so marked. Each one measures 1 3/4" in diameter and stands 1 1/2" high. The two together weigh 1.8 T. oz., with each one weighing just over .8 T. oz. One is engraved "Lillian" in script and the other "Robert." They are in excellent condition. Both retain a round shape, have fine finishes, and are free of dings or dents.

Dating from the late 19th century, this napkin ring stands 1 1/2" high, measures 1 3/4" across, and weighs just under 1.0 T. oz. It has heavy top and bottom rims and a leafy pattern, engraved and reticulated side wall. There is a feathered script "GHE" monogram set at an angle in a bannered reserve area. In flawless condition, this is marked "Sterling" and with the model number "2400," along with a maker's stamp which is rubbed.

Silver pins like this were often given to young ladies in the 1940s when they selected their sterling silver flatware pattern. We don't know why it is engraved unless some were used as souvenir pieces. An interesting and pretty conversation piece, it measures 2.5" long.
