Three Asian Sterling (950) Napkin Rings, Various Themes
Silver: Sterling: Smalls
Old Friends
729b $ 20 each or $ 50 set
The "Sterling 950" mark on these three napkin rings suggests they are Japanese, and if not, certainly Asian in origin, dating from 1928 on. They are matching pieces, 1" tall and 1 1/2" in diameter. The sidewalls are convex, and each piece has a different theme. The images are cherry blossom, mountains, and a house in a hilly setting. They are light weight, with the three items weighing 1.3 T. oz. collectively. There is no lettering or character symbols on any of them, and they are all in ex... Click for details

Gorham Classical Figure Sterling Desk Paper Clip
Silver: Sterling: Smalls
Old Friends
722b $ 125
This item is suggestive of a chatelaine clip or bookmark, save that in the former case there is no attachment for a chain, and in the latter option the spacing is overly wide. Barring these functions, this is likely a paper clip. The pointed tip on the backside would also serve as a letter opener. It measures 2 5/8" long and 1 5/8" at the widest, and is rather weighty at .8 T. oz. The front portion is cast and features the figure of a sitting classical figure, perhaps Athena, or even an Amer... Click for details
