This London 1859 wine label or ticket for Rum was made in an unusual shape, a large reeded oval with quite a lot of space around the engraved block lettering. It is fully hallmarked and in excellent condition, retaining its original chain. It is 1 7/8 inches across. This would be a nice addition to your decanters or to your collection of wine items.

Fine and scarce Georgian White Wine decanter ticket or label of kidney shape with strongly engraved block letters. These are hard to find and much sought after becasue so many people not drink white wine. It is marked twice on the back with a script JR punch, possibly that of John Robins of London, a known maker of labels.The double striking indicatesd manufacture before 1790 when a full set of marks was required.
