This plate was made in 1949 to commemorate the Rochester Pennsylvania centennial. The plate is marked on the back "Wm. A. Meir Glass Specialties". The plate is a custard opaque with "Rochester Centennial 1849-1949" on the front with a picture of the town also on the front. This vintage souvenir plate is 9" in diameter and is in excellent condition with NO chips or cracks.

This is the most exceptional souvenir beaker, glass or handleless mug by the Empire china company of England made to commemorate the coronation of King Edward VIII of England on May 12, 1937. The coronation never happened because Edward abdicated the throne in order to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson. This is a lovely pin dish made in 1952-1953 to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The square ceramic chintz pin dish was made by Hollinshead and Kirkham or H and K, of Tunstall England. The dish which could also be used as a teabag caddy measures 1 inch high by 4 inches square and has a gold floral chintz design with a photo of Queen Elizabeth II in her Trooping The Colour uniform on a square dish with scalloped shape and gold trim. I believe this Plate dates to about 1915. It depicts the Falls from Goat Island Bridge. There are no maker marks, only the number 92 on the back. The lettering is wore on the front. Overall the condition is very good for the age of about 90 years. It measures 6 7/8" in diameter and there are NO chips or cracks. A nice old vintage collectible plate to add to your collection.
