A Shriner’s Porcelain Ashtray by Lenox Commemorating the “85th Imperial Council Session – Atlantic City, New Jersey – July 1959”, which is in Gold Lettering on the back of the ashtray. In the center of the Ashtray is the Shriner Emblem, also in Gold, and the edges of the ashtray are trimmed in gold. This Ashtray is 8 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 inches high at it’s highest point. This vintage souvenir horse brass measures 3.25 inches high by 3 inches wide and depicts a rearing bobbed tail horse. Horse brasses were developed in the 17th century to decorate and identify draft horses. This horse brass was made about 1920-1940s. I thought the tail was broken off but it is listed in my Horse Brass reference guide. This brass has some casting impurities, but is a neat decorative piece. They are a popular collectible today.
