Dietz, Illinois Highway Division Red Traffic Lantern. This old piece is not in top shape but it is very rare, and still displays very well, and I think would still work with very little TLC. Embossed on chimney cap with four stars plus, “8-DAY, & N.Y. U.S.A.”. Embossed in two lines around one side of the shoulder “PROPERTY OF ILLINOIS, DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS”. Eight different antique automobiles showing two different cars on each glass. 1908 Ford / 1913 Chevrolet, a 1908 Buick / 1902 Autocar, a 1908 Stanley / 1909 Hudson, and a 1908 Maxwell / 1904 Studebaker.
