This is a very old print on wooden panel of "The Lace Maker" by Dutch Artist Jan Vermeer (1632-1675). I do not know the exact age but the sticker, on the back that identifies it, is vintage. It measures 8 1/2 x 11. Around the perimeter of the print is a gold line in the form of links of a chain to showcase the print. The signature of the artist is faint but it is on the top right. I have not removed this neat item from the frame – it is exactly as I purchased – based on the size, I am guessing it is a postcard. It has a copyright date of 1930 and is in very good condition with minor chipping at one corner and a missing piece at bottom (see photos). The sentiment is lovely and was apparently treasured by the receiver. A lovely gift for a special friend.
