The Hero Shanghai Pen Company was founded in 1933. So it isn't a coincidence that their mainstays resemble old Parkers. The 616 is an aeromatic fill pen that has been made for years. This offering is for a great Sheaffer White Dot desk set. The black base is either onyx or marble and in excellent condition. Base measures 5" x 3.5". The pen has a 14kt gold nib and it is the "Lifetime" variety that was first introduced in 1943. I am not sure of the age of this set but believe it was at least prior to 1970. I Found this lovely fountain pen at an estate sale. The pen is marked around the top WAHL PEN gold filled made in usa. With the cap on it measures 3-1/2" The nib is marked Wahl 2 14k. Inscribed on the side "Aymia 40 yrs" I know very little about vintage pens. For that reason I have not cleaned or taken this pen apart, so please email me with any questions.
