This is a really great Calico Farm, Skyline, Two Part, Round, Divided Vegetable Bowl made by Blue Ridge, Southern Potteries. This Bowl measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter and is signed on the back BLUE RIDGE - HAND PAINTED UNDERGLAZE - SOUTHERN POTTERIES, INC. - 12 H. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. The hand painted decoration is all very good. We guarantee items to be as described. THANK YOU.

Decidedly period in style, each of these two, matching, master salt dishes features a pair of lofty arms that form an open circular area that contains a cast, three dimensional, ivy leaf. This is in turn supported by an also cast, curved, leaf.

They measure 3 7/8" from arm tip to arm, stand 1 1/2" at the highest, are 2 3/8" across at the top opening of the body, rest on beaded edge, rimmed bases that are 1 1/2" in diameter, and weigh 2.5 T. oz. the pair.

A matched set, each of these eight, flat handle, solid silver individual butter knives measures 6" long. They are weighty, at 7.3 T. oz. the group.

These are older examples of Gorham's "Buttercup," marked with the company's "lion, anchor, G" emblem, "Sterling," and "Patent 1900."

They are in outstanding estate condition, showing no polishing wear, without bends or nicks on the blades, and having bright, even finishes.

Lengthy at 11 1/8," and weighing 2.9 T. oz., this fish slice traces to Baltimore, 1855-58.

It is marked for the partnership of "Gould, Stowell & Ward," which was one of the associations in which James Gould, born 1795 in Salem, Massachusetts, participated as a principal.

Other marks are "Baltimore," "Patent 1850," and "11-12," for the local assay mark, which at .917 is midway between coin and sterling silver.

The pattern is a "Grape" or "Grapevine" on something of an "Olive" background... Click for details

Made by Dominick & Haff, whose three part emblem including the date 1901 is imprinted on the underside, along with "Sterling" and model number "1734," this large, oval, flat bottom, 12" x 8 1/2" x 1 3/4" tall, 13.0 T. oz., bowl was retailed by Philadelphia's "J.E. Caldwell & Co.," whose name also appears with the other marks.

Standing 2 7/8" tall to the rim, 3 3/16" to the top of the handle, and resting on a 1 1/2" diameter, tiered base, this solid silver cream pitcher or jug weighs a relatively weighty 3.15 T. oz.

It is fully hallmarked for maker Lionel Alfred Crichton, sterling, London, and year 1933 on the upper portion of the body, and reads "Crichton & Co Ltd" over "Made in England" on the underside. There is also what appears to be a faint lion imprinted on the edge of the base.

From a family of silversmiths from Southampton and New York, New York, Maltby Pelletreau also had business links with Charleston, South Carolina, through one of his multiple partnerships.

This example of his work, a 6 3/4" long, 1.4 T. oz., place or dessert spoon, is marked "P&U" for his brief time c. 1824 with Stephen Upson in NYC.

Full size dinner, measuring 7 3/4" long, these six, matched, forks are remarkably heavy at 15.7 T. oz. the group, or approximately 2.6 T. oz. each.

In the "Angelo" pattern dating from 1910, they were made by the J.B. & S.M. Knowles company of Providence, Rhode Island, and retailed by "A. Frankfield" of New York City, and so marked, along with "Sterling" and "Pat."

Each one is engraved "Zorah" in script, set sideways on the handle.
