Marked with model number "1110," Gorham's "lion, anchor, G" emblem, "Sterling," and a "D" date letter for 1871, each of these two matching open salts stands 1 3/4" high, with the pair weighing just over 2.7 T. oz. combined. They are cauldron shaped, stand on 1 5/8" diameter tiered bases and have applied rims on the top openings which are 1 3/4" across. Never monogrammed or inscribed, they remain in good condition. This 5 3/4" long, .4 T. oz., teaspoon with an upturned, "Tipt" end is a particularly finely crafted item in mint estate condition. The handle reverse is engraved "M.
