This is a really nice cobalt blue Newport, aka Hairpin, 8 1/2 inch diameter Luncheon Plate made by Hazel Atlas in the 1930s. This plate is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There are some light surface marks on the plate. The cobalt glass shows everything. The surface of the plate is shiny. Be sure to search our other Newport available. THANK YOU.

This is a really nice cobalt blue Newport, aka Hairpin, 11 inch diameter Sandwich Plate made by Hazel Atlas in the 1930s. This plate is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is an approximate 3 inch curved mold line (done in the making) off center of the plate. These mold marks are common in the old, hand tooled, glass. The surface of the plate is shiny. All of these six, matched, knives measure 8 1/2" long and have hollow, filled, sterling silver handles with (original) silverplated, blunt end blades.

They are early production items in Whiting's scroll motif, "Louis XV" pattern. All the pieces are stamped with the company "lion" logo, "Sterling," and "Pat. 1891."

Never monogrammed, they are in excellent estate condition. The handles are free of dents or splits, and remain tightly secured with the blades, which apart from slight wear... Click for details
