Offered is a lovely pair of American coin silver teaspoons by Poplar Ridge, New York silversmith T. P. Cranson, about whom little seems to be known. These teaspoons have legible maker's marks, and have a the great addition of a town mark for Poplar Ridge. Please review all the photos. There are no monograms, but there probably was an erasure at one point, as the spatulate end of the front... Click for details

Offered is a lovely early American coin silver teaspoon from the late 18th Century, bearing period engraved block initials but without a maker's mark. Although this piece could be from anywhere in theory, it has certain proportions that might support a guess of a New Hampshire origin. Hard to explain - more of a "feel" thing. This piece measures about 5 inches in length and weighs about 8 grams. Condition is very good overall, with minimal wear and no dents, splits or repairs. There are... Click for details

It is decorated with feather edging on the stem, and has a New England-style shell decoration to the back of the bowl.
