This set of dolls was made in Spain. They are a replica of the celluloid baby from the 30’s and hand made from an original mold. A thin, hard plastic looking like celluloid was used to bring those dolls faithful to the original one. Both dressed in the same blue and white strips fabric,he has red hair with hazel color eyes while she is blond with blue eyes. They have never been played with and are still in their original box. 25” circumference. This hat was hand made from a continuous ¾” flat strand of plaited straw in a diamond shape. The strand was then rounded up, starting at the top and each overlay held together by stitches. For strength the rim is doubled with a narrow black velvet ribbon. Large black velvet ribbon also around the hat with 4 flowers made of straw. Natural straw color. Beautiful work. Still in very good condition to be over 6o years old.

An opening of 5” on a 2” round base, this little basket is 3” high under the handle. Made of luster, aurealis pink and light grey porcelain. Gold trim. Its particularity is the wicker handle covered with a weaved beige plastic strand for cleaning. The mark is difficult to read but we believe to be from California Potteries.

Those glasses come from France. In French, the word “flute” describe a long, tall, thin glass reserved for champagne. Made in 1970 in the town of Arques, in North of the country by the Arc International Co that is famous for its crystal creations. This model is called Louvre and they are 6 ½ “ tall with a 2” circumference. Those glasses are 24% lead crystal.
