This 16 pc transparent green J. Pressman, or Alley Agate Set was made in the late 1930's, or early 1940's. There is 1 chip on 1 of the saucers and the sugar bowl is missing. It was probably sold in a Little Orphan Annie colorfully decorated box. Very rare set! Guaranteed old and original! Each piece is marked J P on the bottom except the lids.

These pieces are absolutely stunning! Hard to find, these grapefruits and liners were produced by Fostoria from 1922 to 1928 and feature the #257 etching known as Victory.

The grapefruits are 4 1/2" in height and 5" in diameter across the rims. The etched, footed liners are 2 3/4" in height, 3 3/8" in diameter at the rims and rest inside the bowls of the grapefruits. ... Click for details
