Gorham Large Reticulated Bonbon with Six Nut Dishes

While generally thought of as nut dishes today, this particular form is identified in the Gorham catalog of 1902 as a bonbon for the large piece, and almond dishes for the smaller ones. They were advertised as "put up in cases" with one large bowl and either six or twelve smaller ones. This is an original set as illustrated (see accompanying facsimile, image 3) with the one model numbered A1998 and the smaller ones A4780.
