Silver: Sterling: Flatware
Old Friends
1675f $ 55 each, five available

Whiting "Violet" Sterling Silver Master Butter Knife
Silver: Sterling: Flatware
Old Friends
1674f $ 70
Marked "Pat. App. For," this is a first run example of Whiting's 1905 Art Nouveau "Violet." Other marks are the Whiting logo, "Sterling," and the name of the retailer, "I. Lewkowitz" of New York City. The piece is a 7 5/8" long, weighty at just over 1.5 T. oz., solid silver master butter knife. It is in mint condition and without a monogram or removal. Portions of the blade have serrated edges imitative of violet leaves. In sum, this is an exceptionally fine example in all aspects.
