White-to-pink alabastro glass, acid finish surface, probably Murano, Italy, although it could be from elsewhere. The origin, as well as age, is a mystery. We believe this might be 19th century or earlier; however, we will not claim it to be older than 20th Century; and we ask the buyer to make that judgement. 6-1/2" tall, 4" spout-to-handle, about 4-1/4" largest diameter. A 1950s Murano ripe, red APPLE, very probably by Barovier, although we ask the buyer to be the final judge. Deep red Sommerso covered with thick crystal, and much included gold, along with many evenly spaced bubbles (bullicante) form this beautiful piece. Attached is a crystal, tool-worked leaf and stem, all richly included with gold. The apple measures 3-1/2" high, approximately 3" diameter. Free of any damage, and minimal wear to the base. $8 US Shipping.
