Coin silver water pitcher, James Conning, Mobile, Alabama (c. 1845-1850), 11-5/8" to top of handle, 11-3/8" to top of rim, circular base on four cast splayed feet, bulbous body with eight lobed panels, every other with repousse flowers and leaves, short neck with repousse flowers to thin arching rolled scalloped spout with incised decoration underneath, hollow S-shaped handle with leaf thumb grip and grape vines, marked underneath "J. CONNING" and "MOBILE" in small rectangular punches.
