On one side it says "We Can't Win Without Them." It recognizes womens' contribution to the war effort in WW II.

This is the "Great Lakes Bulletin" newspaper from the U.S. Naval training center at Great Lakes, Illinois. The date is April 13,1945. The headline is
"Death Claims President Roosevelt".
This is the complete original newspaper as far as I can tell. It has been folded in half for many years but otherwise it is in good condition. There are a few tiny holes along the fold and some pages but it is in good shape for paper, lasting 66 years. ...click for details
I bought this at an estate sale and I know
nothing about it. I don't know if it is a reproduction or what. It is a smaller size. I wonder if it might be a Navy WAVE ring---?? Size is a good 9 1/2. (I do not think this ring can be resized.)
It is not sterling. I think it is a heavy metal ring but your guess is as good as mine. It is interesting. It has the anchor on it. It has a "J" on one side and a "W" on the other side of the ring. ??

Here we have two greeting cards. One is a World War II- era birthday card.
It talks about "victory gardeners". On the back it says U.S.A.. It has been used.
The other card is a used Christmas card. These cards were handed out to members of the 2nd Division, 38th Inf. of the "Rock of the Marne" Army division during the Korean conflict in 1951.
