"Something old, Something new, Something borrowed, Something blue, and a lucky sixpence for your shoe."

This is a lovely six pence in a heart shaped pendant necklace. (Elizabeth II 1954 six pence set in heart shaped roses around the coin.) On the front of the coin Dei Gratia Regina + Elizabeth II and on the back is Sixpence 1954. I am not sure what the metal is as it’s not marked. (silvertone metal--???.)

A sixpence was a coin used in the British Empire beginning in 1551...

This is a package of vintage pink pearl- tone hat pins in the original package. Also we are throwing in a book for you to enjoy. The book is titled "Hatpins and hatpin holders" by Lillian Baker. The book has 155 pages and has beautiful photos of pin and hatpin holders. It gives lots of information concerning hat pins. It says that long ago, hatpins were classed with jewelry items and were ordered from the jewelry sections of catalogues. It is very interesting reading...
