This Antique Curling Iron is constructed out of sturdy iron with wooden handles. This antique iron was originally heated over an open flame or stove and then used to curl hair. This iron is very old--the patent was 1891. On the steel it says "Princess". Still works, opens and closes with spring action There is a little darkening due to fire heat and usage. Measures 9". This would be a great item to add to a collection or for display at a hair salon!
