Duck on Nest Soup Tureen--Vintage --Japan

This soup tureen is a duck sitting on a nest or basket. It measures 9" high with the lid on, 6" wide and 11" long. THE BOTTOM IS MARKED "JAPAN" AND THERE IS A STICKER "ACTION " This is a decorative and functional way to keep the soup or chili warm on the table and make the soup supper special. It would look so cute on a buffet table or dining room table. It holds 8 cups of stew, soups or sauces. I do not know the age of this tureen or if it is oven proof. No original box.
