Early Staffordshire Bowl.

This mid 19th century Staffordshire bowl is simply gorgeous! Marked only on the bottom with the number 228, I have no way to know who the actual potter was. The green and gilt floral and bird decoration is quite attractive. Measuring approximately 6 7/8 inches in diameter and approximately 3 1/4 inches in height, this item is in excellent condition. Noting bubbles in the glaze at the bottom of the bowl and minor gilt wear, this striking piece is a perfect gift for someone else or yourself! There are no chips, cracks, lines, repairs or stains on this bowl.
