The author of this biography also wrote "Andrew Jackson: The Border Captain". Therefore he processed an understanding of Andrew Jackson prior to writing about him as the President. The frontispiece is from a portrait of Jackson when he was president in 1835. Published by The Bobbs-Merrill Company and states "First Edition" on the copywright page dated 1937.
