1940's kitsch! A happy pair of identical Santa Claus boots, little vases for your holiday décor. They were holiday display items in our curio shop, and were well cared-for. The mold is sturdy, with fine white clay & gloss glaze, and then painted with brilliant red gloss enamel. They are hollow all the way down to the toes, and fully glazed inside. There are small abrasions on both boots in the red enamel (please see the close-up photo & the photo of the bottoms showing the most typical of these marks). Even though these little spots can be touched up very easily, we never did so because we used the boots for a "Very Vintage Christmas" window display. There are no cracks or chips. We spotted a few tiny mold dimples here & there. The top opening is oval, measuring 1.75 inches wide and 2.75 inches long. These boots stand 4.5 inches high and the soles are 4.25 inches long. There is no maker's mark.
