Gracious powder jar of American Brilliant Cut glass stands 2½ inches high, has a top opening of 2¾ inches, and a bottom diameter of just under 4½ inches in diameter. The Pairpoint GARLAND pattern is identified by the simple, elegant floral spray and complex starburst on the bottom. Smaller items such as these powder jars were not flute-cut along their edges as were the larger matching heavy jewelry boxes. Only the bottom of this gorgeous 100-year-old ABC jar remains. The lid is missing (what a shame that it was lost or broken). It has a shallow ¼ inch chip on the outer surface of the rim (see photo). We are hoping that someone will want to give it an honorable retirement as a catch-all, a small vase, a candle holder, or just place it in a window for the sun to spray its incredible prism colors into a room.
