This magnificent 2 handled latticed basket features hand painted blue flowers at the intersection of each piece of applied gold trim lattice. Each handle is a double which criss crosses at its base. At these bases are applied 3 dimensional multi-colored hand painted flowers and leaves. Bot the rim and handles have applied gold trim/ Although the exterior is more ornate than usual, there is no design on the inside. From this, we can surmise that it was intented to be a flower pot holder...
This fine china is from Paden City Pottery and probably dates from the 1940's. Paden City Pottery (West Virginia) was in operation from 1914 to the mid 1950's. PCP32 is one of the many floral patterns they produced--it is a small spring bouquet om white in the center. The edge is gold followed by cream and with "curly" gold border. 15These are 12 beautiful luncheon dishes from England's Crown Staffordshire is in a lovely pink / lavender / green floral pattern, marked #13445. The maker marking would indicate that these were made prior to 1930. The 12 dishes are in excellent condition.
