This beautiful set was commissioned for the 1976 US Bicentennial by the Lafayette Legacy Society and produced by D'Arceau Limoges from Revolutionary War Scenes by Restieau. The plates are: North Island Landing; City Tavern Meeting; Battle of Brandywine; Message to Franklin, Siege at Yorktown and Triumphant Voyage. Each has its certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

This American Greetings porcelain collector plate measures 8" diameter. It depicts a snowy scene in shades of blue and white. The classic verse, "I heard the bells on Christmas Day, Their old, familiar colors play" by Longfellow and "Christmas 1978" appears at the bottom of the scene which shows several people walking through the snow into a church. It was designed and signed by CHIARA for the American Watercolor Society.
