The Unisphere was commissioned to celebrate the beginning of the space age, The Theme of the World's Fair was "Peace Through Understanding" and the Unisphere represented the theme of global interdependence. This is a vintage (50's-60's?) souvenir pine playing card box. It is 6"x4"x2" with an inner divider so that it holds 2 decks of playing cards. It is varnished pine typical of the era. On the cover are decoupaged the 4 aces and the scripted "Atlantic City".
