The Fire Cat, by Esther Averill, is the delightful story of Pickles the stray cat who came to live at the firehouse. He is an adventuresome cat. This Weekly Reader Book was published in 1960 by Harper & Row and both of our copies are assumed First Editions' as they are not stated otherwise. There is slight bumping to the spine and pictorial covers (no d/j) of each book. The interior of one book has a name crossed out with a marking pen on the inside cover. The other book is flawless.
