Brave Janosh by Victor G. Ambrus
|| for item
This delightful folk tale was first printed in England by Oxford University Press-1967. This copy is the first American Edition printed in Austria. It tells of a retired soldier (Janosh) who lives in a small village in Hungary. Since Janosh is the only resident who had worldly experiences, it enables him to spin some fabulous stories. His best is the one that describes how he single handily defeated Napoleon and his Army. Our copy (no D/J) is in very/very good condition. There is only slight bumping to the illustrated cover with a small stain in the upper right hand corner. The interior pages of the book are clear & bright and do not have any markings or tears. There is a small stamp inside the front and rear covers that belonged to the former owner. Kindly E-Mail us if you have any questions. Thank you.
