A stated First Edition, written and illustrated by Emery & Durga Bernhard respectively, this book was published in 1993 by Holiday House, N.Y.. Interesting tale from the Arctic for young readers that was adapted from a collection of Siberian folktales by James Riordan. As a side note the illustrations were inspired by ritual masks and carved objects of native peoples of Alaska & Siberia. Our copy, while used, is in Very Fine condition.
