Lord Rex By David Mckee

Written, and very nicely illustrated by the author, is a delightful story for young readers. This vintage book published in 1973, 1st Edition, by Abelard -Schuman features Lord Rex (the lion who wished). Hard cover (no d/j) it tells of a lion who wished he had some of the characteristics of other animals. As he came across some magical creatures that were able to grant his wishes, he soon found out that maybe that was not such a good idea. All does turn out for the best.
