The Turnip by Pierr Morgan

An old Russian Folktale, nicely illustrated, is re-created in this 1990 (4th printing) of this Weekly Reader text. It seems that one of the farmers (Dedoushka) turnips grows to such a huge size that the entire family, including the pets, is needed to pull it up. Popular with young children due to the rhythm and happy repetition of the story sounds. Our copy is in Fine condition with only very light cover scuffing.
