This is a wonderful candle stand. Some call it tripod table. This is a lovely table that measures 25 1/2 inches high and is 17 inches wide. I am not sure what wood this one is in but possibly maple. The construction of this one suggests the time frame it was made was in the late 1700's mid 1800's. Probable east coast area. The snake feet are wonderfully intact and underneath them in the curved portions you can appreciate the tool marks. This one also has hidden dovetails holding the legs on but the hand forged bracket that would have covered this is missing. The nail holes are still where it would have been attatched. not wobbly or unstable, someone loved this piece. If you note the top it does have a ring mark . I have only cleaned/waxed it lightly. If you are familiar with this type of furnishing I would love to hear more too. This business is always a learning process! Please email me if I can answer anything else about this table. Thanks for stopping by!
