U. S. Navy Silver-Plated King Pattern Serving Fork Silver: Plate: Pre 1940 item# 714686

This 9-1/8" silverplated serving fork is in the King pattern by International Silver Co. It was made for use by the United States Navy. There is an anchor on the front of the handle, and U.S.N. on the reverse. Condition is very good. Add $3.00 s/h/i. (I'm not sure of the dating on this, so took a guess.)

This hand-painted hankerchief is an example of I.R.A. artwork done in the prisons. This particular one, done in 1974 in Portlaoise Prison, bears several signatures including that of the Chief of Staff of the IRA. He was a rather reclusive gentleman and I doubt you'll ever find another example of his signature.
