Classic Landscape. This antique Chinese Nanking plate has an unusually nice border decoration. These charming pieces were
designed for export (an American favorite) and some were kept for domestic (home) use.
Origin. China
Time Line. Estimated range 1820 - 1880 may be older.
Mark. None
Condition. See pictures. Very good antique. Normal potting irregularities. Few tiny burn spots to
the porcelain. Rim is fritted (uneven) in some areas, partially actual potting and probable some from
natural age wear. One minuscule chip to the back side of the rim. Sandy foot ring and single firing spur
to the base.
