Antique Russian Sterling Silver Beaker Cup Judaica
Moscow - Russia. Judaica. Kiddush Cup - Beaker. This type of style was also used for a good shot of Vodka.
Pattern & Detail. Rolled rim with small smooth band under. Delicately matted body (repeated pattern) of tiny small dots or hatched lines. Clean engraved overlay of a delicate scrolling vine and leaf pattern. Smooth slightly raised base.
Mark. Sterling silver. In boxed order as shown. Makers Mark & Year rubbed off from wear - Assayers mark below the above (sideways) AA - 84 - Picture mark denoting city = Moscow. Their is also a worn silver mark of 84 sideways on the smooth band under the rolled rim.
Circa. 1750-1887. With the date rubbed off from wear, we can only supply the range this style of mark was produced. Our *personal research call is c. 1856.
Condition. See pictures. Fine antique condition. Two small shallow dents noted at the base line. Two small indents under the rolled rim from original production. Three more obvious shallow clean scratch lines on base. Beaker will exhibit other soft wear and or soft shallow scratching concurrent with age.
Size. Touch over 2" tall x 1 1/4" base.
