Plum pudding, cake pudding, steamed pudding. Large mold has top and bottom handle. Smaller mold has single side handle. Each mold is a two part consisting of a top and bottom. We would like to tell you these were Mrs. Cratchit's, but have not been able to verify this as an absolute fact....most likely these molds were placed into a steamer rack for commercial or home use. Charming to now use for display.
Origin. Found in USA, but quite possibly English.
Time Line. Antique to very early 20th century vintage.
Measurements. Large mold about 5 inches tall x 7.5 inches long. Smaller mold about 3.5 inches tall x 6.5 inches long.
Materials. Ribbed tin two piece unit. Melon shape.
Condition. Please see pictures. Both melon shaped pudding molds display age appropriate patina and character. Modest rust, dents and general age discoloration to the metal is a given. Larger mold has an aged surface label tape (shown).
Mark. Large mold no mark. Smaller mold is marked #2.
