Elegant Vintage Chinese Red Silk With Embroidery Purse

A bit before or Mid C into early 1960s.
Fabulous late day into evening purse. Embroidered red silk. Shaped box style. White satin interior. Large interior mirror. Silk loop with bone or ivory closure. Woven silk cord handle.
Measurements. Touch under 5 inches tall x about 2 inches deep x 7.5 inches at widest width.
Creator. Exact unknown. Custom made to order via Hong Kong China and/or Shanghai China if of an earlier vintage. We would like to tell you this is "the purse of Suzie Wong", but fiction is difficult to verify.
Condition. Very good vintage condition. Appropriate to age wear. Exterior slight thinning (fray) of fabric at the box style edges. May ? reflect even slight fabric fading due to time. Interior silk may show slight pulling away at the box edges. By nature fabrics age and become fragile. If this purse were to be actually used, we would say do so with delicate handling. Our personal call is to see this as a marvelous display piece protected under glass or lucite cube.
