This fine print was made directly on a thin metal sheet and bonded with artist's wax to the heavy backing. Hand-etched by a master engraver into an engraving block. the print was then embossed in a relief under fifty tons of pressure creating tremendous depth and brilliance. The light reflecting at different angles makes the subject seem almost life-like.Etching is 7.5" w x 5.5" h. The wooden frame is 12.5" w x 10.5" h.Artist unknown, title unknown.
