Once upon a time, long, long ago when I worked near the Planter's Peanut store in downtown Atlanta, Mr. Peanut would be outside the store, in costume, walking and handing out free samples. This jar brings back those memories. Mr. Peanut is embossed on the front and back of this jar along with 75th ANNIVERSARY. Top has a small Mr. Peanut and the years 1906-1981. Bottom also has an embossed Mr. Peanut and the year 1981. Stands 8"H. Stopper has frosted plastic bottom and fits tight.

Long gone are all the Joe Cool ads but some of the miscellaneous advertising items still turn up. Here is Joe, smoking his Camel, of course, and reeling in a big one! This unusual pipe holder has slots for seven pipes, each marked Monday through Friday! Made by Decatur Industries, bottom felt-covered with Decatur Industries, Inc. large, round label in middle. Santa and his reindeer are all tuckered out after a long night and have kicked back with a Coke! This scene was originally painted by Haddon Sundblom in 1959 and used as an outdoor poster advertisement. Do you remember it?? Tray is in good condition, with some signs of use. My favorite Coke character! On one of the tins Mr. Polar Bear is shooting hoops, on the other he is Mr. Baseball! These tins or canisters, are 7 1/4" high and 6" in diameter. They are dated 1997 and do have a few very small dents, the only one you really can see from the outside is on the lid of the basketball canister.
