"Stockings were hung by the chimney with care in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there!" This appears to be the scene on these cups. Stockings, garland and wreath are hung over the mantel and a little boy and girl are dressed in their night clothes, ready for Santa. Cups are in excellent condition with no chips or damage. I do not know the name of this pattern but these plates are old. They are marked on the back in fired-on gold "Steubenville" with their logo (little buildings). They are 9 3/4" in diameter. They do show light scratches on the eating surface and tiny, tiny nicks around the edge (which can be felt more than seen). No cracks or crazing. These would really add to a vintage kitchen! Perfect for Bridge! Beautifully painted California poppies by Fanci Florals Collection, Made in Japan.
