Early American Prescut was introduced by Anchor Hocking in the early sixties and with the exception of the creamer, sugar, cruet and shakers, most pieces were discontinued by 1978. This is a great pattern for a beginning collector since pieces of this glassware are easily found. Pyrex lid number A-12-C which will fit the 2 1/2 Qt (2.5L) baking dish (A-10-B), the 11" roaster (P-16) and the 4 or 5 Quart Dutch Oven. It is 10 1/4" across; the inner, inside rim measures 9 3/4" (measuring from OUTSIDE to OUTSIDE of the rim). This fruit bowl or compote has such elegant lines and is in perfect condition. It catches the light beautifully! Although not marked, according to my research, it was made by Viking USA in the '60's. According to the Imperial Glass Company production mark on the bottom of this vase, it was manufactured between 1951 and 1977. The official date of their final production was June 15, 1984. This is the Loganberry Fluted Top vase in white milk glass. Stands 6 3/8" tall and has masses of gorgeous loganberries in high relief; pattern really stands out. Can't you just taste those homemade tea cakes Mama always kept in this? This one is marked PYREX, Made in USA and also reads "For crisper crackers, remove cover, place open cracker barrel with crackers, in warm oven". It is 7" tall and has a large, 6" top opening.
