Solid Wood SERVING TRAY with Copper Overlay Design

An intriguing tray! It is solid wood with solid wood handles which have an indention carved into their underside for a better grip. I am sure this type of work has a name but for the life of me I cannot find it. The design on top is copper, finished all the way around with little tiny nails. The copper is slightly "puffed" and appears to have a "padding" of some kind under it. The middle of the flowers and the veins in the leaves are raised. Really pretty. The tray has a small crack through most of the center but you can tell it has always been there. Don't you think this would make a great In-Out tray for an office? I purchased the little plate with this tray and the work is similar but made from much lighter wood. You can see on the back of the plate where the nails were cut and smoothed off (see pic #3). No identifying marks on either piece. Tray measures 17" x 11". Plate is 8" in diameter and I am including it as a bonus!
