Edwardian - Art Nouveau Dandelion Vase 1890 - 1910

This vase stands 8" tall at the top of the handle. It has a matte glaze overall, except for the decoration of dandelions and leaves on the front & back. The interior has a glossy glaze as well. The decorative area surrounding the thistles on the front is inset. The thistles/leaves are outlined in gold. On the base, there is a tiny gold number 3G. The 3G is also incised into the piece, but it's extremely difficult to see without a magnifying glass and wouldn't show up in a photo. This item has no chips or cracks and is in excellent condition. The form is late Art Nouveau or early Edwardian and indicates manufacture was sometime around 1890-1910. The mark on the bottom is a design or mold mark. This type of mark was used on both European and American art pottery and can't be attributed to any one manufacturer. Decoration, size and condition contribute to good retail appeal.
