Vintage Childs Cherry Blossom Set, Complete

Jeannette made many of the Depression Glass Children's Dish sets available today. This includes the wonderful Delphite Cherry Blossom set pictured here. This pretty set is in UNDAMAGED CONDITION without chips or cracks. It is free of disfiguring mold or production imperfections. This set has been reproduced, but it is so easy to tell an old one from a new one that the reproduction has made little difference in the collectability of this little treasure. For one thing the opaque blue color was never perfected on the newer sets. It is not a true delphite. Another dead give away is that the cherry blossoms on the newer sets look like little helicopter blades and lack detail. They do not resemble the pretty full Cherry Blossoms found on the old Depression Era sets. This pretty set would be a great addition to your collection, or a great way to start a young person on the road to collecting.
