Just 4-3/4" in length and as minty as when they were made -- strawberries and leaves festoon most of the handle, and a single berry tops the tines (see pic). Retailed by A. Stowell & Co., Boston. Vacant cartouche - never engraved.

In the 1930s, Gebelein was commissioned to design a pattern based on the classic Sheaf-of-Wheat, but unique: a Sheaf-of-Flax. Only a few pieces were produced. This cold meat fork is 6-1/4" long and weighs a hefty 36 grams. It is in mint condition. Several other pieces remain in our collection.

Frame with applied dragons on one side, applied ideograms on the other; attached by chain the chattalaine hook. Size is 4" x 8-1/2". Condition is excellent. It is marked TC on the hook.

This is S&F's Antique pattern introduced in 1878 -- kidney-shaped bowl (see pic), florid gothic mono C on front; 13" long, 4" x 3-1/4" bowl. Weight is a robust 7 T oz. Condition is near-mint.

Round bowl with matte gold-washed interior, on round pedestal base; applied leaf-&-berry bands at rim and base; engraved in script on side of bowl: Nelly/Jan. 17th, 1872. Marked on bottom: Ball, Black & Co., New York; also marked: 202/ English Sterling. Compote is 8" in diameter, 6-1/8" high, and weighs 18.5 Troy oz. Condition throughout is excellent.

Circular form with flared lip, 2-1/4" tall, 2" diameter, solid gauge silver used in construction; never engraved. Condition is excellent.

No maker's mark, but it's safe to assume that Gebelein was responsible for this piece, c1920. It is, of course, marked STERLING. The sheaf and sickle design is quite similar to the original of 100 years earlier, but differs somewhat in the details. This ladle is 13-3/4" long and weighs 6-1/2 Troy oz. It has high square shoulders, with double pouring lips on the bowl. It has never been engraved. Condition is minty. Repro or not, this is an imposing piece of silver.

Vase-shaped body with domed lid, applied band at shoulder, applied gothic mono E H on side; 4-1/2" high. Condition is near-mint.

19" x 14-1/4" oval, applied openwork scrolls and roses at ends, similar scrolls at sides; shaded gothic mono J in center; 42 Troy oz. Condition is excellent.

Made by Ferd, Fuchs & Bro., NYC, c1900 -- 16-lobe round bowl with applied band of flowers at the pierced rim, shaded script mono M C in bottom of bowl; 9-1/4" diameter, 2-3/4" height, 11 Troy oz. Condition is excellent.

16" tall, 13" across base, 74 Troy oz. We understand that this piece was designed at the Tiffany studio in the 1960s and that it was fabricated in Italy. What better home base for a campanile! As shown, the body consists of 8 S-scroll vertical straps on 8 ball feet. Two horizontal straps are connected to the vertical strip with silver rivets. Atop the body is an onion-shaped dome, formed by another 8 S-scroll straps...

Probably made in the year of its patent - 1871. The set consists of 12 dinner forks, 12 luncheon forks, 12 tablespoons, 12 dessert spoons and 12 teaspoons -- a total of 60 pieces with a weight of 77 T oz. NOTE: As often occurs with antique sets of silver, there are no knives. Replacement knives are usually modern, often pistol-handled.
